The drama of human trafficking
Human trafficking is a global phenomenon affecting millions of people, especially women and children. Today, it is the third largest source of international criminal revenue, generating around $150 billion a year. Although figures are hard to come by, it is estimated that 12 million women and 6 million children are currently enslaved. Southeast Asia is particularly hard hit by this illegal activity, and Cambodia is one of the countries most affected, with some 40,000 victims
